As one of your 209 acts of kindness, I paid the first $10 of a customer's gas bill yesterday. They were taken by surprise, and then when they learned the reason, they were very impressed with this initiative.
The encounter left me feeling so good, that later when I saw someone in a public library questioning their small overdue fine, I simply paid the fine to help both the staff and the customer. I simply asked them to pass the kindness along to someone else at some point.
I applaud your efforts at keeping Ms. Ritzer's legacy going strong by spreading some good throughout the community!"

"Hi,
My fiancé and I had gone to pick up a composter I found on Craigslist yesterday evening. We were putting gas back in my dad's truck that we borrowed. While my fiancé was pumping the gas, a very happy woman reached over from the other pump and told us to have $10 of gas on her. He looked at me confused, and I looked the same. She said the paper would explain why she did that. She said it was to remember a teacher. I asked her which school she worked at, she replied Danvers. I was surprised that she was a ways away in New Hampshire. We read the paper, and as soon as I seen the teacher's name, I knew who it was. She told us about the 5K that recently took place in Andover, MA. She was so happy to participate in this, and she had a very sweet smile. We let her know how wonderful it is that Ms. Ritzer's students thought of this. It was a nice surprise and it will keep her memory alive. I told her that Ms. Colleen Ritzer's parents must be so happy that her legacy will go on. I also shared the story with my parents, and they were so happy to hear this. I hope the website is announced, as I would love to read the other 208 Random Acts of Kindness.
Good Luck, and I hope this spreads around and inspires others to be kind!"
